I think this is a spontaneus flow of metaphores, used to hide a topic that scares lot of us: the day of the departed.
So, there are butterflies, fairy missions and mysterious projects... why?
Because death, maybe, it's only another side of life we don't know: a dissolving/transforming experience that takes place every day, for every living particle that inhabitate the universe.
